These are
just some tips and ideas to help you make your trip to your race go
smoothly. Feel free to
e-mail Wallbanger Fantasy Racing with any suggestions you may have that may be beneficial to
other NASCAR fans that may be attending their first race or even their 50th
race.
Plan ahead and never assume!
Plan as far in advance as possible as many NASCAR races sell out in
advance or the hotels and camp sites in the area may be booked solid
leaving you with nowhere to stay. Make sure tickets and accommodation are
both available before you lay down cash.
**NOTE: Although races may be "sold out". You can always find someone
selling tickets, you just have to search and maybe pay a bit more. Don't
be afraid to bargain with the seller. The closer to race day it is, the
more desperate the seller is to get rid of the tickets.
Scope out directions on the best way to
get to the track and figure out where to park closest to the seating
section you will be located in.
If you are arriving a couple days in
advance, search the local area online first to find out what activities
are going on in that area. There may be driver signings. Also, races
are very big events for the communities in which they are located so there
will be a lot going on. Check with the local chamber of commerce for more
information.
Call the race track ahead of time or
visit the
track website to review their policy for what is not allowed to be
brought into the race track.
